The Blue Spruce tree, also known as the Colorado Spruce, is a medium sized evergreen that is native to the western United States. These trees are usually bluish in color, with shorter and thicker needles than the White Pine. This tree closely resembles the popular Fraser Fir Christmas tree, however the needles of the Blue Spruce are slightly sharper. While many use the Blue Spruce as a Christmas tree, it is also widely used in gardens and landscaping for its spectacular color.
